How do we divide your money within the community?

We are guided by principles of fair trade and pay just wages to people in the village. Although the precise division of money might vary subtly, based on the individualization of your travel package, we typically divide the money within the community like this:

• 23% family
• 21% cultural activity/work teaching guide
• 6% Kaqchikel language instructor
• 33% agency fees
• 17% transportation
